Laila El-Haddad, U.S. west coast tour schedule, February 2011

Just World Books is delighted to announce that our author Laila El-Haddad will be touring the U.S. west coast in February 2011. She will be discussing and reading from her book Gaza Mom: Palestine, Politics, Parenting, and Everything In Between.  The book chronicles her life as a busy journalist and mom trying to keep her life (and that of her family) going as she shuttles between Gaza and the U.S. east coast.

Laila is a very engaging, smart (and even witty) public speaker. She will build on the places in her book where she describes the plight of Gazans and of Palestinians in general. She will also read from passages where she describes firsthand the role that Pres. Mubarak’s government in Egypt has played in helping Israel maintain its punishing siege around Gaza.

The California portion of Laila’s tour is co-sponsored by American Muslims for Palestine.
